Joe Clifton Rose, 77, of Potter Hill Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the Glasgow Nursing Facility in Glasgow, Kentucky.
He was born on May 12, 1942 in Jellico, TN to the late Sterlin and Mary (Monhollen) Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterlin and Mary Rose; wife, Sue (Ashton) Rose; brothers, James Rose, Lee Rose, Tilmon Rose, and Nig Rose; and sisters, Betty Fuson and Cassie Paul.
He is survived by his daughter, Myrna Rose (husband Tim Smallwood) of Williamsburg; sisters, Anna Mae Goins of Williamsburg, Barbara Moses (Vance) of Williamsburg, and Ruby Rose (Billy) of Williamsburg; brother Pete Rose (Rucella) of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Sunday, May 19, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome McCullah officiating.
Following the service he was laid to rest in the Rose Creek Cemetery on Gatliff Road.
