Johnny Rains

Johnny Rains, age 77, of Williamsburg, Ky., passed away Saturday February 3, 2024 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Ky.
He was born November 4, 1946 in Gatliff, Ky. to the late Thomas and Eliza Bryant Rains. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers, Charlie, Will, Roy, Ernest and Kenneth Rains; and four sisters; Nina Monhollen, Rena Patterson, Virginia Anderson and Cecila Rains.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta Rains of Williamsburg, Ky.; two children, Donna Jackson (Elwood) of Williamsburg, Ky., and Johnny Rains Jr. of Williamsburg, Ky.; two grandchildren, Michelle Jody of Williamsburg, Ky., and Lucas Hall of Berea, Ky.; one great grandchild, Jayleigh Canady, several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be private at Ellison Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Wells officiating.
Interment will be in Siler Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 9:00 pm on Monday, February 5, at the funeral home.
