Joint resolution filed in House of Representatives in an effort to further the discussion on KHSAA handling of student-athlete transfers

A bill filed earlier this month by 82nd District Rep. Nick Wilson has caused a lot of discussion to take place when it comes to the subject of student-athlete transfers between school districts in the Commonwealth. House Bill 292 seeks to allow a student who is enrolled in grades 9-12 at and participating in any interscholastic sport to transfer to another school and remain eligible to participate in varsity contests, but only once. The bill states that any further transfers would be subject to all applicable transfer rules and bylaws.
