With a heart full of sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Karen Perkins on December 21, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 13, 1965, Karen was a beacon of love and kindness to everyone who knew her. She lived her life with the simple yet profound belief that “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.” -Abraham Lincoln. This sentiment was deeply ingrained in Karen’s life, as she filled her years with love, joy, and a devotion to those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Karen was a resident of Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she was known for her vibrant spirit, warm heart, and enduring faith. As a devoted member of the Browns Creek Church of Christ, she put her faith into action by loving her neighbors and serving her community. Her passions extended to being an avid fan of Kentucky basketball and the Dallas Cowboys, where her loyalty and enthusiasm were unmatched. Karen’s light and love will be deeply missed by a host of friends, family, and all who had the pleasure of her company.
She is survived by her brothers, Bro. Jerome (Jamie) and Randy Perkins; her sister, Kathy (Richard) Tibbs; her special niece and caregiver, Danielle Ward; nieces, Tarrah Perkins, Sierra Martin, Tiffani Cobb, and Allison Ward; nephews, Aaron and Justin Perkins, and Trevor Perkins; aunts, Bertie (Junior) Meadors, Faye Deloney, Sue (Garfield) Doolin; and her special cousin, Elizabeth Grimes.
