Kathy Fuson, born Kathy Pauline on January 21, 1954 in Williamsburg, KY, was called home on February 7, 2025.
She was a woman of profound faith, a beacon of light who loved singing and spreading the love of God.
As a longtime member of the Gatliff Baptist Church, Kathy’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. Proverbs 3:5-6, ‘Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take,’ was a testament to her unwavering trust in her Creator.
Kathy was the devoted mother of Annette Cox, and Sheryl Bowen; and cherished grandmother to Nicole Cox, Morghanne Mullis, David Adam II, Rose Bowen, Zach Bowen, and Arianna Bowen. She was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Landon, Bentley, Bailey, Remington, Maverick, and Journey Mullis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Letha Powers; husband, Harold Fuson; brothers, Kenneth, Willard, Walter and Buster Powers; sisters, Helen Powers and Aleane Powers; and niece and nephew, Donna and Larry Powers.
Kathy’s legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
