A mother’s call led Kentucky State Police to arrest a Knox County man for and inappropriate relationship with her underage daughter.
Detective Aaron Frederick, of Post 10 in Harlan, responded to the complaint received Wednesday, Sept. 27. Detective Frederick contacted James McCafferty, 32, of Indian Creek, and initiated an interview. Over the course of the interview, McCafferty gave a full confession.
According to KSP, McCafferty told authorities that he met the juvenile during the NIBROC festival in Corbin, allegedly offering her a job as a babysitter. McCafferty told the detective that the girl accepted the job and that he picked her up and took her to his residence several times beginning Saturday, Sept. 2.
