Knox deputies searching for shoe store burglars

According to Sheriff Mike Smith, Deputy Mikey Ashurst was called to the scene on U.S. 25E in Corbin about 3:40 a.m. in response to an activated alarm at the store.

Ashurst reportedly discovered that the burglars had thrown a rock through the glass on the front door in order to gain entry and took assorted merchandise before quickly fleeing the scene.

The subjects reportedly had their faces covered during the incident.

Corbin Police assisted at the scene.
