Rodney S. Richardson

According to a Facebook post by the police department, Richardson has been a wanted person since 2017 on charges not related to the Williamsburg Police Department’s search.

Richardson is wanted on the following charges, according to the Facebook post:

  • five counts of trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree (methamphetamine);
  • trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree (heroin);
  • convicted felon in possession of a handgun;
  • convicted felon in possession of a firearm;
  • receiving stolen property-firearm;
  • receiving stolen property-other property;
  • drug paraphernalia;
  • fleeing/evading police first-degree (on foot);
  • possession of a controlled substance first-degree (drug unspecified);
  • contempt of court-failure to appear ($5,388.00-child support); and
  • probation violation for felony offense (original underlying charge burglary second-degree).

The charges stem from an investigation that led to the execution of a search warrant at Richardson’s residence in October of 2021, according to the department’s Facebook post.

He fled on foot during that incident and has evaded law enforcement for several months.

Wednesday morning, at approximately 7 a.m., members of the Kentucky State Police SRT executed an additional search warrant at numerous residences along Betty West Road, which is located off Red Bird Road in Williamsburg, and attempted to serve Richardson with numerous arrest warrants.

He once again evaded police authorities.

As of 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Richardson is still at large.

The police department requests the public’s help in locating Richardson. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Whitley Dispatch at (606) 549-6017 or your local law enforcement agency.

In the post, Williamsburg Police Department stated Richardson has a history of fleeing from police and is known to carry a firearm.
