KYTC: Bridge inspections scheduled for I-75 in Whitley County on Thursday, Oct. 16

Date:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has announced that bridge inspections have been scheduled for both the southbound and northbound lanes of I-75 at the 14.5 mile marker in Whitley County on Thursday, Oct. 16.

KYTC advises motorists that the southbound bridge inspection will take place from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, with the northbound bridge inspection taking place from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

A lane closure (slow lanes) will be in effect during the inspections.

Motorists are advised to use caution during this period and be aware of signage, road crews and other drivers. The work is dependent on weather conditions.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur. Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their own reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application.
