Larry “Butch” Stephen Lindsay, age 79, of Powell and formerly of Jellico, Tennessee passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center.
He was born March 27, 1946, in Jellico, Tennessee. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Butch is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte (Strawn) Lindsay; father, George Raymond Lindsay; mother, Anna Margaret (Brown) Lindsay; brothers, Billy Joe Lindsay, John Paul Lindsay; and sisters, Mary Evelyn Perkins, Carolyn Collins.
He is survived by his son, Joey Lindsay (Amanda); grandchildren, Tristen (Lynzey) Lindsay, Bayley (Katie) Lindsay, Kameran (Blake) Nation, Jackson Bratton; great-grandchildren, Liam, Grant, JJ, Waylon; sister, Helen Louise “Jackie” Dowdy; special friend and caregiver, Tiffany Easterly; and a host of friends and family to mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday, March 1, Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Funeral service will follow at 7 pm with Rev. Joey St John officiating.
Burial will be at 8:30 am on Monday, March 2, in East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Hwy. in Knoxville, Tennessee. Military honors will be conducted by Jellico Honor Guard.
