Laurel deputies find crystal meth, brass knuckles on woman wanted in Knox County

Date:

A Gray woman, who is wanted in Knox County for failure to appear in court, was arrested Friday night in southern Laurel County.

According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, Deputy Rick Cloyd arrested 36-year-old Marta Bush at a residence on Adams Road off of Ky. 770.

Cloyd took Bush into custody without incident. However, Root said the deputy found Bush to be in possession of 6.38 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and a set of brass knuckles.

Upon speaking with Bush, Cloyd reportedly determined that Bush was under the influence of methamphetamine.

In addition to the warrant, Bush was charged with public intoxication – controlled substances, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine. She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
