Lily man charged with attempted burglary

Date:

A Lily man and female juvenile who allegedly attempted to break into a business on Ky. 552 by smashing out the front door glass, were arrested for attempted burglary after the alarm brought Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies to the scene last Thursday morning.

Trevor Karr, 19, and a female juvenile were charged with first-degree attempted burglary.

Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, said that Deputy James Sizemore and Shift Sgt. John Inman responded to the report of the activated alarm.

“The adult male and female juvenile fled when the alarm sounded,” Acciardo said noting that deputies used video surveillance to identify the suspects.

Karr and the juvenile were arrested that night.

Karr was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
