Little League

Minor League and Little League All-Star Tournaments will get underway around the area next week for teams in Corbin and Williamsburg.
The Area Two Minor League Tournament will be held in Jackson County which begins Tuesday, June 28. Corbin will play North London Green at 6 p.m. with the winner taking on Jackson County Wednesday at 8 p.m. The winners bracket finals are slated for July 2 at 6 p.m. with the losers bracket finals scheduled for July 3 at 2 p.m. The top two teams will advance to district play.
The Area Three Minor League Tournament will be played in Middlesboro with Williamsburg taking on Pineville/Bell County June 28 at 6 p.m. The winners bracket final will be played June 29th with the winner moving on to the district. The losers bracket final is scheduled for June 30 at 7 p.m. and that winner will play in the district.
The Little League Area Two Tournament will be played at North London with Corbin meeting the winner of the North London-Clay County game, Friday, July 1 at 6 p.m.
Williamsburg will play in the Area Three Tournament in Middlesboro. Williamsburg will play Middlesboro June 30 with the winner playing Knox County July 1.
The 13-14 year old boys’ Junior League Tournament will be played at Burnside beginning June 30. Corbin will play North London, Friday, July 1 while Williamsburg meets the winner of the South London-Jellico game, July 2 at 5 p.m.
