Lois Jeannette Musgrove

We honor the life of Lois Jeannette Musgrove affectionately known as Granny.
Granny’s journey on this earth began on July 23, 1935, in Pine Knot, Kentucky.
She lived her life to its fullest for 89 years 6 months and 30 days.
She departed her life being held in the arms of her loving granddaughter, Geneva on February 22, 2025.
Despite many adversities along her life she never allowed anything to steal her smile, she had a smile that could light up any room she walked into.
Lois was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to attend church and sing praises to her God. She was a member of The First Apostolic Church in Somerset, KY.
Granny is survived by her granddaughters, Geneva Claxton and husband Phillip Claxton of Rockholds, KY, Brandy Colyer and husband Michael Colyer of Williamsburg, KY, Tiffany McCloskey and husband Michael of Corbin, KY and Kristin Barnett and husband Jerod of Pine Knot, KY. Her great-grandchildren, Bradley Claxton, Brionna Claxton, Michael Colyer II, Christopher Colyer, Delanya Colyer, Riley Colyer, Claire Colyer, Chloe Colyer, Kainan Stephens, Gracelynn Stephens, Brantlee Barnett, Bailee Barnett and Blakley Barnett.
She is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Wood and mother, Pina Marcum.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Willa Jean Brooks; and sons, Paul Brooks and Tim Woods.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 28, at 3:00 PM with the funeral service to follow at 5:00 PM at Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Mullins and Rev. Joe Cox officiating.
