London woman accused of shoplifting while intoxicated at Corbin Walmart

A London woman was arrested at the Corbin Walmart Monday for allegedly shoplifting while intoxicated.

According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, Deputy Tommy Houston arrested 24-year-old Rachel Rudder on charges of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting and public intoxication – controlled substance.

According to Sheriff Root, deputies were called to the store about 1:45 p.m. where Walmart loss prevention had detain Rudder.

Loss prevention had reportedly witnessed Rudder conceal $59 worth of merchandise and attempt to leave the store.

Rudder was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center on the misdemeanor charges.
