Lyle R. Johnston, 71, of Hillsboro died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at his home.

He was born February 18, 1947 in Lakeview, MI the son of the late Lloyd and Bess Harp Johnston.

Mr. Johnston had retired after thirty-one years of service with the Proctor & Gamble Company.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Tindle Johnston who he had married on October 17, 1964, five children, Karin (Dean) Fannin of Hillsboro, Kevin (Sarah) Lay of Peebles, Elizabeth (Jody) Brooks of Harvest, AL, Shane and Saige Johnston of Hillsboro, fifteen grandchildren, Tasha Eads, Kristy (Sam) Crawford, Rosa Williamson, Harley Lewis, Zachary (Meghin) Brooks, Matthew Brooks, Emily (Lionel) Barzon, Catherine (Olajuwon) Moore, Dylan, Holly, Amanda, Seth, Tessa, Rachel and Nathan Brooks, four great grandchildren, Annabelle Bushelman, Ashlynn Johnson, Blaine and Emma Crawford, two brothers, Wayne (Sheryl) Johnston of Michigan, Jimmy (Wilma) Johnston of Kentucky, five sisters, Ruth (Don) Davenport of Michigan, Wanda Curry, Jean Walker, Judy (Mike) Mills and Wilma (Danny) Terrell of Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
