Her legacy…Mamie Augusta Matson Taylor, age 95, passed away June 29, 2021. She was born on September 3, 1925 in Wareham, Massachusetts to Matti and Hilma (Hakkarainen) Matson Tammelin. She liked to travel to various United States National Parks. Amy married the love of her life, Edward Taylor, on October 8, 1953 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Amy and Edward were competitive square dancers. She will be remembered as a very hardworking mother and grandmother. Amy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her family…Amy leaves behind her children, Susan (Bruce) Furr, Randall (Susan) Taylor, and Cary (Lisa) Taylor; grandchildren, Jesse, Sarah, Ben, Kaitlin, Blake, Evan, Hannah; and six great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings; and husband, Edward.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 10, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Stringer officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Slusher Cemetery in Rockholds, Kentucky.
