Man arrested after 3-mile police chase

A Williamsburg man, who allegedly fled from police on March 16 in a vehicle going 100 mph on Ky. 26, pleaded guilty to amended charges Monday morning.

Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird initially charged Shannon D. Bunch, 26, with first-degree fleeing or evading police, speeding, improper passing, failure to illuminate headlights, no vehicle insurance, expired tags, expired registration receipt and for failure to have his driver’s license in his possession.

The incident occurred about 9:30 p.m. on Ky. 26 about two miles north of Williamsburg.
