Martha Jane “Susie” Reeves, 59, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at UKMC in Lexington.

Born in Barbourville, Susie was Baptist by faith and was a devout believer. She was retired and had been a waitress at the Rootbeer Stand.

She was preceded in death by her father James Petrey, brother Billy Ray Davis, and grandmother Martha Davis.

Susie is survived by her mother Ruby Petrey; husband Robert Clay Reeves; three children: Jeremy James Mitchell (Jessica), Larry Eugene Mitchell (Kathy), and Brandy Elizabeth Reeves; grandchildren: Cameron Mitchell, Jeremy James Mitchell Jr., Bryce Alexander Mitchell, Ally Nicole Mitchell, Zachary Eugene Mitchell, Landon Wayne Mitchell, and Jacob Connor Mitchell; brother James Michael Petrey (Kim); sister Mary Lou Hinkle (Vernon); brother Mark Anthony Petrey (Anita); and by several nieces, nephews, family and friends and special friend Jillian Kouns, all to mourn her passing.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 22, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with burial to follow.

The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
