Mary Catherine Vanderpool, 77, of AB Anderson Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Baptist Health in Corbin.
She was born on March 2, 1940 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Ben Walter Lane and Marie Joseph (Brochin) Lane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley Vanderpool and a son, Riley James Vanderpool Jr.
Mary was a member of Mt. Ash Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons, Heath Vanderpool (Elizabeth) of Corbin and Randy Vanderpool (Susan) of Keavy; daughter, Shelvy Sproles (Eric) of Lafollette, TN; three grandchildren, Melissa, Steven and Isabell; four great grandchildren, Megan, Tyler, Morgan and Rylee; one sister, Emmie George of Cincinnati, OH; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Saturday, March 25, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.
She was laid to rest in the Vanderpool Cemetery on AB Anderson Road, Williamsburg.
