Mary Frances Hatcher

Date:

Mary Frances Hatcher, 51, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She was born in Corbin, Kentucky, on February 21, 1973, to Janice and James “Donnie” Hatcher.
Mary was a kind, loving, and dedicated individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.
She graduated from Whitley County High School in 1991 and from the University of the Cumberlands in 2004. Mary was a faithful member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
Mary was rarely seen without a smile on her face. She loved to laugh, and even more, she loved making those around her smile and laugh. Her selflessness shone through in everything she did for others, motivated by the love in her heart. She was a light to everyone she met, and her contagious smile brought joy to every life she touched.
Mary deeply valued her friends and family. She was a proud mother of two sons, a sister to one older brother, a loving daughter, an aunt to many nieces and nephews, and a great friend to many.
In addition to her father, Mary was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Kathleen and Emmitt Hart, Sr., and paternal grandparents, Georgia and James Strickland.
She is survived by her two sons: Ricky Bunch and Matthew Bunch; mother, Janice Hatcher; brother, James Donald Hatcher, Jr., and wife Lee Ann; two nieces: Patricia and Rachel; three great-nephews: Mason, Harrison, and KJ; three great-nieces: Gracelynn, Kennedy, and Harlan; a dear friend, Misty Murray; and the father of her children, Mike Bunch.
Her memory will remain forever in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were privileged to know her. In honor of her life, let us all strive to follow her example of selflessness, love, and kindness toward others.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 13, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Thomas officiating.
Burial followed in Corinth Cemetery.
