Mary Nan Morris, 80, of Sandy Branch Road, Barbourville, departed this life on Friday, April 7, 2017 at her home.

She was born on December 1, 1936 in Whitley County, to the late John Matthew Peace and Nannie Brown Peace.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glennous Morris Sr.; a son, Allen Morris; a daughter, Cindy Renea; and two grandsons, Samuel Vanover and Kevin Foley.

She was a member of Big Poplar Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her four children, Roney Morris (Mary Faye) of Williamsburg, Wayne Morris (Ella Jane) of Barbourville, Glennous (Rocky) Morris Jr. (Cissy) of Barbourville and Deborah Lawson (Johnny) of Barbourville; daughter-in-law, Jan Morris of Siler; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Ota Moses of Emlyn,; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Monday, April 10, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Partin officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Carpenter Cemetery.
