With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maxine Jones, born on December 27, 1953, in Manchester, KY, and peacefully leaving this earth on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at her home in Williamsburg, KY.
Maxine Jones, survived by her beloved children, Carolyn Lawson (Paul), Renea Davenport, and Jimmy Anderson (Linda); she will be remembered by her precious grandchildren, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Daven, Trey, Mckayla, Arissa, Jimmy W. (Dakota), Ryan, Sierra, Justin, Ashley, and Jason; additionally, she leaves behind her great-granddaughters, Kollins and Kleine.
Maxine Jones, a woman of love and kindness, also leaves to mourn her passing her brothers, Johnny Powell (Charlotte), Carlo Powell (Brenda), Kenny Powell (Carol), Willie Powell (Karen), and Elijah Powell; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends; special cousin, Everette Mounce (Marie); also special friends, Dave Davis and Norma Frost; and her furry companions, Spanky and Frito.
A funeral service to honor Maxine’s life will take place at Croley Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, at 7:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome for a public viewing beginning at 5:00 pm, on the same day.
In Maxine’s memory, let us gather to pay our respects, remember her kindness, and celebrate a life full of love and warmth. May she rest in peace, knowing she was cherished by many.
Maxine was preceded in death by her father, John Powell; and mother, Lola Powell Hall; her son-in-law, TJ Davenport; and a brother Billy Powell.
