Mayor signs May Day proclamation, update given in 2024 queen and tiny queen races

Corbin Mayor Suzie Razmus is shown with members of the Ossoli Club of Corbin signing a proclamation designating April 29 through May 4 as “May Day Week” in Corbin. May Day will take place this year on May 3. The Ossoli Club is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Club Kentucky.

At the end of the first count in the race for May Day Queen and Tiny Queen, the Ossoli Club of Corbin has released the following results: First place in the race for May Day Queen, at this time, is Whitley Ella Hurst. Aylianna McKay is in second place. Whitley Calico is in third place. In the race for Tiny Queen, at this time Lainey Williams is in first place. Charlotte Preston is in second place. Sadie Strickland is in third place.

The Ossoli Club of Corbin will announce an update after the second count on April 19. The races will end at noon on Friday, April 26. The May Day Festival is sponsored annually by the GFWC Kentucky Ossoli Club of Corbin.

This year’s festival will be held at the Corbin Arena on Friday, May 3.
