It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Melody Marie Walters, age 34, of 600 Hurricane Hollow Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Melody departed this world far too soon on July 12, 2025, following a tragic auto accident. Her radiant spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family leave a lasting legacy cherished by all who knew her.
Melody was born on January 21, 1991, and from her earliest days, she brought boundless joy to her family and friends. Devoted wife, loving mother, and treasured daughter, Melody was the light in the lives of those around her.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her beloved husband, Michael Walters Jr. of Williamsburg, KY, and her precious three children: Trent Hamblin, Brent Hamblin, and Katelin Slover, who were the center of her world.
Melody is survived by her mother, Lisa Ledington of Rockholds, KY; her father, Norman (Rocky) Slover of Jellico, TN; and her stepmother, Dorothy Slover of Jellico, TN. She leaves behind her siblings: Thomas Brown, Dalona Dillon, Christopher Brown, Lance Slover, Tiffany Ball, Stephanie Rutherford, and Connor Slover, all of whom shared in the warmth of her love and the strength of her spirit.
A devoted mother and loving wife, Melody will be remembered for her gentle soul, her laughter, and the way she put her family above all else. Her nurturing presence will be dearly missed at every family gathering, every milestone, and every quiet moment.
Though her time with us was far too short, the lives she touched and the memories she created will be carried forward by her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Melody’s legacy endures in the laughter of her children, the embrace of her family, and the hearts of her community.
Funeral service was Friday, July 18, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico, TN with Pastor James Smith officiating.
Interment followed in the Pleasant View Cemetery at Pleasant View, KY.
