Melvin Daniel Moore, also known as Danny Moore, was born on February 13, 1977, in Corbin, Kentucky, and passed away on October 12, 2024.
A resident of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Danny dedicated his life to serving others, especially his country. He was a proud USAF Combat Veteran, having served two courageous tours in Afghanistan. Danny was a faithful Baptist, believing in the promise of eternal life with his heavenly Father and Savior.
Danny is survived by his doting mother, Trula Evans, and his caring father, William Evans. His siblings, Eddie Moore, Anthony Evans, Deanna Evans, and Brian (Amy) Lawson will remember him fondly. His beloved grandmother, Thelma Moore; and his aunts and uncles, David (Shelby) Moore, Kathy (Jim) Hickey, Karen Muse, Robert (Ella) Crusenberry, Darrel (Carolyn) Crusenberry, Barbara Berry, Betty Livesay, Carol (Brownie) Anders and Connie Crusenberry; very special friends, Chris and Steph Sawyers; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hurstle Moore; his uncle, Lee Moore; his aunt, Loretta Moore; his special friend, Jason Andrews; his aunt, Shirley Scalf; his uncle, Carl Crusenberry; and his grandmother, Mary Crusenberry.
The visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, at 11:00 am at Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
The funeral service will commence at the same venue on the same day at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ronnie Bowman officiating.
The interment will take place at Youngs Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Angel Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky, at 2:15 pm.
Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #88 of Corbin, Kentucky.
In the words of the Apostle Paul, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7).
