Meth lab discovered in Lily

Three people were arrested in Lily yesterday when they were found manufacturing Methamphetamine. The Laurel County Dispatch center received a tip that there was an active Methamphetamine lab located in a wooded area off Rita Lane. The lab was located down a trail approximately 300 yards behind a trailer park.

Sgt. Josh Gayloe, Deputy James Sizemore and Deputy Jason Back responded and found Freddie Farmer Jr, Brittany Morris and Gregory Bateman at the scene. James Morris was arrested on an unrelated warrant and Brittany Morris was arrested on an indictment Warrant for manufacturing Methamphetamine.

According to Detective Brad Mitchell, this is the second time Brittany Morris has been arrested for manufacturing Methamphetamine this year.

The Department of Public Safety was called to clean up the lab. Brittany Morris, Farmer and Bateman are scheduled to appear in Laurel District Court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.
