Motion for prosecutorial misconduct to be heard in triple homicide case

A motion accusing prosecutors of misconduct has been filed by one of three Indianapolis men charged in connection with a 2017 Whitley County triple homicide case.

Darnel Chivers, 42, appeared in Whitley Circuit Court for a status hearing Monday, which was quickly reset for later this year due to a large amount of forensic information that is still being analyzed. However, Chivers, who has continued to represent himself after refusing a court-appointed attorney in 2019, informed the court he had several motions he wished the court to entertain.
