Myrtle “Granny Myrt” Lovitt, 75, of Young Lane, Rockholds departed this life on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at her home.

She was born on November 16, 1943 in Williamsburg, to the late Lawrence Bryant and Polly (Vanderpool) Bryant.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Mickie Walker, Helen Morelock, Fran Greene and Velma Shoapman and brothers, Bud Bryant and Tom Bryant. She ran Granny’s Country Store for over 33 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Liz Grubb (Bobby) of Rockholds and Melissa Clark (David) of London: two grandchildren, Christopher Grubb of Rockholds and Brian Grubb (Kayla) of Clinton, TN; six great grandchildren, Christian Grubb, Kadence Grubb, Madison Turner, Adilynn Grubb, Caleb Grubb and Khloe Grubb; adopted daughter, Jennifer Carter of Rockholds; three brothers, Raymond Bryant (Dorothy), Donald Bryant (Jane) and Bill Bryant all of Rockholds; special niece, Stephanie Mullins of Rockholds; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Opal Widener, Tina Grubb, Jack and Eudeana Jackson, Donna Carter, Jacky Perry, Geneva Richmond, Donna Bunch, Claude Aker and so many more;; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, December 22, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Bunch officiating.

Following the service she was laid to rest in the Slusher Cemetery.
