The Corbin City Commission held a brief special called meeting on Dec. 30 to take care of a pair of items before the end of 2021.
The first of the two items discussed during the less than two-minute meeting was approval of the second and final reading of an ordinance naming a city road and associated right-of-way as Commonwealth Spur.
The road was recently acquired by the city from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Corbin City Manager Marlon Sams said the short roadway is near Sonic.
The commission also approved and authorized Mayor Suzie Razmus to sign any and all documents relating to the contract with Brandstetter Carroll.
Sams explained that Brandstetter Carroll is assisting the city with the project to repair the Corbin City Pool.
So far the city has no price estimates on the repairs.
