Naomi Winstead

Naomi Winstead, 79, of Highway 26, Rockholds, departed this life on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin.

She was born on November 23, 1938 in Williamsburg, to the late Simon Monhollen and Blanchie (Siler) Monhollen.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Bundy and Jessie Winstead and brothers, Albert Monhollen and Damon Monhollen.
Naomi was a member of 2nd Street Church of God of Williamsburg, a volunteer for the March of Dimes for 27 years, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Corbin and VFW of Williamsburg.

She is survived by her daughters, Carla Smith and husband Mitch of Rockholds and Valerie Collett and husband Bleve of Powell, TN; four grandchildren, Danielle Smith of Bellefountaine, OH, Eric Smith and wife Jennifer of Williamsburg, Alexa Collett of Powell, TN and Sarah Collett of Powell, TN; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Vanhoose, Aiden Vanhoose, Haileigh Strange and Aubriella Smith; sister, Glenda Monhollen (and husband Willard of Toledo, OH; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, January 9, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Leach officiating. Following the service she was laid to rest in the Whitley  Memorial Gardens.
