Norma Jean Brock, daughter of the late Henry and Stella Bunch, departed this world in the midst of a summer shower at 12:20 in the afternoon of June 7th 2025.
Norma was born on March 6 1940 in the community of Mud Creek.
In her 85 years, she grew to be a caretaker on every level. Working as an aide in a nursing home before becoming a homemaker and mother of four until her children were grown when she then returned as an aide until she retired.
She was also a longtime beloved member of Louden Baptist Church where she would share her gift of singing.
Norma Jean Brock set a high standard of moral class and forgiveness rarely seen in today’s world. Her grace through the good and the hard times made everyone around her a better version of themselves.
Norma Jean Brock was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Willard Brock; sisters, Pearl Harris, and Tina Canada; brothers, Thurman Lee Bunch, Roy Bunch, and Don Bunch.
She is survived by her siblings, Herman, Rosie, Wilma, Lois and Billie Anne; children, Willard (Willy), Gary, Rondal and Connie; grandchildren, Josh, Nikki, Jeremy, Aaron, Ryan, Cameron and Emaly; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 10, at Louden Baptist Church with Rev. Rev. Bobby Fuson.
Interment will follow in the Brock Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 10, until the funeral hour at the church.
