Oscar Long, 90, of Elk Valley, TN passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his home.
He was born March 20, 1928 in Wooldridge, TN.
Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Baird Long; father, Henry Long; mother, Bertha Morgan Long; brothers, Arlie Long, Lansford Long, Leonard Lee Long, William “Bill” Henry Long, Francis Long, Edgar Long; sisters, Goldie Felidman, Pearl Botts.
He is survived by his sons, Henry Wayne Long, Harry Lee Long; daughters, Katha Thomas, Joyce Long McGhee, Marsha Long Bowlin; four special grandchildren, Jessica Thomas, Adam Thomas, Amanda Long, Loucretta Bowlin; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, LLoyd Long, Robert Long and wife, Fronzie; and a host of a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family to mourn his passing.
The funeral was held January 26 at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Yancey officiating.
A private burial was held in the Warren Memorial Garden.
