“Papaw” Bill Browning

“Papaw” Bill Browning, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Corbin Health and Rehab.

Born in Indiana, he was the son of the late Andrew Browning  and Grace Decker Lawson. He had been a mechanic at Roaden’s. Also preceding him in death were his daughter Roseann Browning; and his siblings Marie Richmond, Albert, Leonard, Charles, and Willard Browning, and Jerry Lawson; and his grandson Christopher Browning.

He is survived by four children: Mickey Campbell (Jerry) of Corbin, Shirley Miles Jackson (Charles) of Williamsburg, Kenneth Browning (Tina) of Corbin, and Rickey Browning (Terri) of Lakeland, FL; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends who mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 19, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Abner officiating.

Burial was in the Wilton Cemetery.
