Parkway Ministries partnering with other local churches to host group from S. Korea

Date:

Over the next several days, a group of ten travelers from South Korea will be visiting several churches in the region. Their goal is simply to pray alongside congregations for the country to experience a revival, and to look to God for guidance in trying times.

This effort is a partnership between local churches, specifically Parkway Ministries of Corbin, and the Project Prayer organization, which describes itself as being “dedicated to serving as a catalyst for a ‘Great Awakening’ in America and the world, through the foundation of transformational prayer mobilization to fulfill our obligation to the Great Commitment, ‘Pray for all men everywhere.’”

The ten local visitors are part of a much larger group from South Korea that has spread themselves out to various locations across the country. While typically traveling to larger cities when they come to the U.S., the group in Corbin is using the Laurel Lake Baptist Camp as a home base of sorts as they tour the region to meet and pray with several churches.

The group has already visited Barbourville, and will be traveling to London, Manchester and Harlan between Thursday and Saturday. They will be praying at Parkway Ministries throughout their stay, and a final prayer rally is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. Sunday evening at New Hope Ministries in Corbin.

For additional information, search for Parkway Ministries on Facebook. More info on the Project Pray organization can be found at www.projectpray.org.

The News Journal hopes to share more details about our South Korean visitors inside the May 10 print edition.
