Partial lane closure on KY 11 will last two weeks

Date:

A portion of KY 11 in Knox County will be reduced to one lane for the next two weeks.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) announced Tuesday that bridge over Cumberland River at mile point 9.38 on Highway 11 in Knox County would be reduced to one lane until June 13 to allow contract crews to perform bridge maintenance operations.

Traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals on the bridge until it reopens fully. KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.

Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their own reports at www.waze.com or via the Wade mobile application.
