Patsy Prewitt, a humble and loving soul, whose life was a testament to the power and importance of family, passed away on January 11, 2026 surrounded by her family.
Born on September 28, 1933, Patsy dedicated her 92 years to nurturing her family, and serving her community.
She was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church and her unmatched skill in quilting, crocheting and traveling, her hobbies that she passionately pursued throughout her life.
Patsy spent a significant part of her professional life at American Greeting, where she brought joy to countless individuals through her work of over 27 years of service. However, the cornerstone of Patsy’s life was her family. She was the matriarch of a large and loving family, who will forever cherish her memory.
She is survived by her children, Shirley Hinkle and husband Aubrey of Williamsburg, KY, Kenny Prewitt and wife Ellen of Williamsburg, KY, Barbara Carpenter and husband Bobby of Williamsburg, KY, Debbie Crusenberry and husband Larry of Williamsburg, KY, and Jerry Prewitt of Williamsburg, KY.
She was a beloved grandmother to Kim Brown, Chris Hinkle, Jason Prewitt, Amanda Moses, Heather Carpenter, Jacob Crusenberry, and Jordan Crusenberry. Her great-grandchildren, Dalton Brown, Caleb Hinkle, Braxton Hinkle, Ashley Brooks, Andrew Moses, Abbey Moses, Harper Prewitt, Hagan Nicholson, Lilly Nicholson, Dakota Crusenberry, Hannah Crusenberry and John Danile Crusenberry will remember her fondly. Patsy was also blessed to meet her great-great-grandchildren, Scarlett Brooks, Joise Mea Nicholson, Allison Kacie Nicholson and Hagan David Nicholson. Patsy is also survived by her brother, Silas Lincon Prewitt JR of Williamsburg, KY.
She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her pass-ing.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Silas Lincoln Prewitt and Zora Lovitt Prewitt; her sisters, Margie Ball, Flossie Bird; and her twin grandchildren, Zachary and Bobby Carpenter; and a granddaughter Allison Renee Nicholson.
On Saturday, January 17, Patsy’s life will be celebrated with a visitation at 11:00 am at the Highland Park Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Larry Siler officiating.
Her life’s journey will conclude with a burial service at 2:30 pm at New Mountain Zion Cemetery on Croley Bend Road, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
