Phillip L. Carpenter

Phillip L. Carpenter, 75, of Gray passed away Monday, November 7, 2016.

Born February 26, 1941, he was the son of the late Homer Lawrence Carpenter and Edith Marie Carpenter.

He was a retired U.S. Army veteran, highly decorated for his service.  He worked at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Oranell Carpenter; step-son, Russell Parman and wife Janet; and step-grandchildren: Becky Parman and Josh Parman, as well as other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 11, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.

Burial followed in Corinth Cemetery with full military rites by the D.A.V. Chapters 158 and 66.
