Police bust man for methamphetamine lab on Cumberland Falls Hwy.

On Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 9:20 PM officers from the Kentucky State Police Post 11, London and the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint of a possible Methamphetamine Lab at a residence on the Cumberland Falls Highway in Whitley County.
 
Upon arrival officers contacted the resident, Joseph C. Johnson, 31, of Corbin and discovered several items used in the manufacturing of Methamphetamine as well as finished Methamphetamine product. Also, discovered in the residence were several plastic bags containing suspected marijuana and multiple items of Drug Paraphernalia.
 
Johnson was arrested and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center on the charges of Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st degree 1st offense, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st degree 1st offense, Possession of Marijuana less than 8 oz. and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
 
Trooper Dingess is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by KSP/CVE Officer Steve Douglas, Whitley County Sheriffs Deputy Shawn Jackson and Whitley County Constable Ron Bowling.
