Police seek info on man who robbed Goldbug gas station Thursday

Date:

The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s assistance in apprehending an armed robber, who struck a Goldbug store late Thursday afternoon.

About 5:12 p.m., a man entered the Express Mart, which is located off I-75’s Exit 15. After a short time in the store, he pulled from within his pants what’s believed to be a gun covered by fabric and demanded money.

The suspect fled the store and left the area in a silver Nissan Sentra, which was driven by a white female.

The male suspect is white, about 5’9”-5’10” tall, and was last seen wearing a dark blue or black athletic-style pants and a red t’shirt. He has tattoos on both arms.

Anybody with information about the suspects is asked to call Whitley County E911’s non-emergency number (606) 549-6017.
