Rev. Roger Wells

Rev. Roger Wells, age 65, of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025 at Baptist Health Lexington.
He was born October 3, 1960 in Williamsburg, KY, to the late Norman and Lucy Rains Wells. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Hamblin, Herman Hamblin, and Elmer Wells.
Roger dedicated 27 years to in school maintenance at Whitley County High School. He pastored at Maple Creek Church of God for many years and also served as pastor at Little Oneida House of Prayer for two years. He worked at W.D. Bryant’s as well, a place he thought highly of.
He is survived by his wife, Terry Wells of Williamsburg, KY; two sons, Travis Wells (Ashley) of Williamsburg, KY, Joshua Wells (Amandra) of Williamsburg, KY; three grandchildren, Jeremiah Wells, Isaac Wells, Naomi Wells; two brothers, Henry Wells of Williamsburg, KY, William Hamblin of Williamsburg, KY; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marlow Napier and Bro. Jimmy Hoffman officiating.
Interment will be in the Boyd Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 2, at the funeral home.
