Road closure set to begin Wednesday (May 7) on KY 1259 and KY 727

Date:

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that KY 1259 (Stamper Street; mile point 4.192) and KY 727 (5th Street; mile point 4.134) at the intersection of Lee Street in Corbin will be closed Wednesday (May 7) and Thursday (May 8) from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

The road closure is necessary for Corbin City Utilities to perform utility repairs.

KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect significant delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.

Motorists can access travel and traffic conditions at http://goky.ky.gov or contribute their reports at www.waze.com or via the Waze mobile application. You can also get traffic information for District 11 counties at www.facebook.com/KYTCDistrict11 or by following the district on Twitter at www.twitter.com/KYTCDistrict11.
