Rockholds man arrested on multiple warrants

Date:

A Rockholds man, who had several outstanding arrest warrants, was apprehended late Thursday evening, according to a Whitley County Sheriff’s Department release.

Kim Carr is charged with terroristic threatening and other offenses.

Shortly before 11 p.m., Deputies Chad Estep, Chad Foley, Sgt. Jonas Saunders and Court Security Officer Clay Shelton arrested Kim V. Carr, 47, of Carr Road, serving him with outstanding warrants for his arrest, according to the release.

The arrest took place at 904 Tye’s Ferry Road in Rockholds, and Carr was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.

“Multiple agencies had been searching for Kim Carr and through a collaborative effort of numerous agencies, Kim Carr was arrested on multiple warrants without incident,” the release stated. “Sheriff Shelley sends his gratitude to each agency that pursued the arrest of Kim Carr for numerous days. The community was extremely helpful in this apprehension and we are grateful. We are working around the clock to serve the best that we can and will continue to do so.”

Williamsburg K-9 Officer Elijah Hunter assisted in the search multiple times.

According to a court document, one of the arrest warrants charged Carr with third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree assault (minor injury), in connection with an April 30 incident.

Carr was also served with a forthwith order of arrest, which was issued by Whitley District Judge Fred White on April 30 in connection with a 2019 domestic violence case, according to another court document.

The Whitley County Detention Center’s website indicates the arrest was for a violation of a Kentucky Emergency Protective Order (EPO)/Domestic Violence Order (DVO).

The two cases involved different victims, according to the court documents.
