Rondal Loyd Karr, known to all as Rondal, passed away on January 11, 2026. Born in Corbin, Kentucky on August 15, 1940, he was a smart, talented, and beloved figure in the community. His business acumen led him to establish Karr Industries in1982.
Rondal is survived by a host of family who loved him dearly. His son, Terrell Karr (Wilma) of Siler, KY, and daughter, Kathy Elswick (David) of Corbin, KY, cherish memories of their father’s wisdom and guidance. His grandchildren – Carrie Karr, Jonathon Karr, Rex Karr, Rebecca Williams, Candace Moses, Mathew Elswick, Joshua Elswick and Christopher Elswick – all remember their grandfather’s nurturing influence.
His great-grandchildren – Kassie Karr, Madilyn Karr, Malory Karr, Aria Karr, Elijah Moses, Clementine Moses, Adaline Moses, Paizlee Elswick, Clay Elswick, Koeburn Elswick, Amelia Elswick, Jensen Elswick, and Kyla Elswick – will carry forward his legacy.
His aunts, Pearl Huckleby and Clara Karr, also mourn his passing.
Rondal was preceded in death by his father, Elmond Karr; mother, Myrtle Karr; son, Bryan Karr; and brother, Roxell Karr and wife Betty Louise aka Wilma Jane Rose Karr.
Visitation for Rondal will be held on Thursday, January 15, at 5:00 pm at Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
The funeral service will take place on Friday, January 16, at 11:00 am at the same location.
Thereafter, Randal will be laid to rest at 1:00 pm at Young Cemetery, 1000 Young Cemetery Road, Corbin, Kentucky.
