Russell Wayne Smith, 46, of Louden Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at his home.
He was born on August 19, 1972 in Dayton, OH to Bennie Wayne Smith and the late Oneida Nell Reeves Smith.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a son, Russell Wayne Smith Jr.
Russell was co-owner of Smith Towing and Smith Racing.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Carpenter) Smith of Williamsburg; four daughters, Donna Smith Griffith (Austin), Jessica Smith, Riannah Helton and Isabelle Helton all of Williamsburg; granddaughter, Adilyn Griffith of Williamsburg; grandson, Eian Hubbard of Williamsburg; father, Bennie Wayne Smith (JoAnn) of Williamsburg; brother, Cecil Griffith of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Tuesday, October 16, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Powers officiating.
Following the service he was laid to rest in the Smith Cemetery on Louden Road.
