Ruth Izella Cox Wilson, 81, departed this life on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at her home.
She was born on January 5, 1938 in Gatliff, KY to Chesley Cox and Clara (Fritts) Cox.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chesley and Clara Cox; husband, John Lee Wilson; son, Donald Wilson; grandson, Jonathan Lee Wilson; seven brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Wayne Wilson (Nancy) of Florida and Tommy Lee Wilson (Donna) of London; five grandchildren, April Wilson, Brandy Wilson, Chris Wilson, Donald Wilson, Jr., and Kevin Wilson; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends to morn her passing.
The funeral service was held Saturday, July 20, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keaton Smith officiating. She was laid to rest in the Douglas Cemetery at Sunny Hill.
