Sarah Wells Craig

Sarah Wells Craig, age 82, of Gray, Kentucky passed away on December 23, 2024.
She was born September 12, 1942 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Willie and Violet Wells.
Sarah was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Ritter, Jan Dewees and brother Ralph Wells.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Marvin Craig; and daughter Bridgett Craig Leeds (John); and sister Jewell Johnson.
Sarah was an active member of 17th Street Christian Church and a born-again believer in Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday School for 50 years and loved working with children. Sarah was employed by Knox County Board of Education for 30 years.
She also loved to travel, and her and Marvin had the opportunity to visit all 50 states and several countries.
Funeral service was Saturday, December 28 at 17th Street Christian Church, with Bro. Mike Hopkins and Bro. Doug Martin officiating.
Burial followed in McHargue Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Darrell Barnett, Kyle Hubbs, Jason McWhorter, John Leeds, Mark Davis, Larry Pennington, Terry Disney and Gary Bennett.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to 17th Street Christian Church.
