Sav a Lot, Calvary Missionary Baptist Church partner on recent food drive

Date:

Sav a Lot recently donated a $500 gift card to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in connection with a local food drive.

“We are honored to be partnered with Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for this food drive,” said Williamsburg Save a Lot Manager Teddy Anders. “This is currently our third year partnering with them. We would like to thank the community members who donated food bags during our Bags for Brighter Holiday event. We would also like to thank the University of the Cumberland for helping with the bags as well. Without everyone chipping in this wouldn’t be achievable. We sold over 1,000 bags that went out into the community.”

Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Aaron Bargo said that the donation is appreciated.

“We would like to thank Save a Lot for this amazing donation. We look forward to putting this donation back out in the community thru our programs that help feed the needy and the children in our community,” Bargo added.
