Search underway for new Lady Hounds volleyball head coach

Date:

A search is currently ongoing for the next head coach of the Corbin Lady Hounds volleyball program after their coach for the past three seasons, Bryan Johnson, has decided to step away.

“It has been an honor to serve as head volleyball coach while continuing the rich traditions that exemplify Corbin Redhound Athletics,” Johnson said in a recent statement. “I am grateful for the relationships that I have shared with many players, our administrative team, past volleyball coaches and the fantastic sports reporters that have followed this strong program. I certainly will cherish the memories.”

“My greatest priority at this time, however, is to devote a greater degree of time and energy to my wonderful family, and our future endeavors together. I will deeply miss the team, and many of the players I have worked with over the years. Still, I am confident in the foundations that have been laid while players set individual and team goals for their future.”

Under Johnson’s guidance the Lady Hounds compiled an overall record of 77-30 between the 2016 and 2018 seasons. They won 50th District championship titles all three years, and repeated as 13th Region champions in 2017 and 2018.
