This time last year Jaclyn Jewell was competing as a senior member of the Corbin High School tennis team. Along with her doubles partner, Ellie Jane Carloftis, she would go on to finish in the top eight at the 2016 KHSAA state championships – the farthest she had ever advanced in all her years competing at the state level, both as a middle school and a high school athlete.
